Kim Bruguier is in her 16th year of teaching elementary music. Mrs. Bruguier teaches K-5 music/band at LB Williams Elementary in Mitchell, is the director for the Mitchell Area Children's Choir, is the conference manager for the South Dakota Music Education Association and is an adjunct professor in the education department for Dakota Wesleyan University teaching a class on music, movement, and art for elementary education students. Mrs. B is also the president elect for the North Central Division for the National Association for Music Education.
Kim has been a clinician at the South Dakota Music Education Conference, the National Association for Music Education National conference in Dallas, the Technology In Education conference, the South Dakota Arts Education Institute, the North Dakota Music Education Conference and the Sioux Valley Orff Chapter meeting. She has led professional development sessions for the Mitchell and Sioux Falls school districts. Mrs. Bruguier has judged numerous vocal and band contests over the years and has recently been a guest director for several middle school festival and honor choirs around South Dakota. In 2011 she was awarded the South Dakota Outstanding Young Music Educator Award and in 2017 was selected as both the LB Williams Elementary and Mitchell School District Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Bruguier and her husband Lee have 2 children, Max and Amelia. She loves camping and making crafts in her free time. |
